The T-56 Engine Working Supervisor will diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Duties: Although not all-inclusive, the following is a description of general duties of the EWS-
Supervise and perform repair/rebuilding of T56-A-14 power plants, C-2/E-2/C-130/P-3 Propeller, P-3 Auxiliary Power Units, and related components in accordance with maintenance support requirements.
Ensures Logs and Records and maintenance documentation in NALCOMIS (VIDS/MAFs) is accomplished and coordinates expediting supplies.
Supervises the Test Cell Shop.
Coordinates with the Senior Maintenance Controller.
Perform CDI functions.
Shall meet the qualifications of an Aircraft Mechanic for the T-56.
Shall have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in I and/or D level aviation engine, auxiliary power unit, and propeller maintenance/repair/rebuilding.
Shall have a minimum of three years’ experience in the field of DON military aviation maintenance supervision in the last 10 years.
Shall have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and working level skills/ability in:
- CNAFINST 4790.2 and NAVAIR Instruction 3710.1 requirements.
- Reports and procedures for production control coordination.
Required education: High school diploma or equivalent.
