Avionics Modification Technician
Job Description:
Reliance Aerotech Services is seeking a well-qualified Avionics Technician to join a team of modification avionics technicians for a contract to direct position in South Florida.
Successful applicants will be responsible for:
- Mentoring and leading a group of avionics technicians during troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, modifying, and updating aircraft systems to meet high standards of quality and workmanship within FAA standards.
- Demonstrating competency in use of proper tooling and techniques necessary for termination of wiring applicable to aircraft modifications.
- Working in conjunction with the Avionics Supervisor and airframe, engine and sheetmetal department technicians to complete projects.
- Identifying and implementing project schedule efficiencies.
- Assisting Supervisors in issues involving parts and drawings for assigned installation/repair work scopes.
- Maintaining shop cleanliness, organization and ISO standards.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of aircraft avionics experience with advanced knowledge of King Air and Garmin G1000.
- 5+ years’ combined experience on any of the following avionics systems: Garmin systems, Proline 21, ADS-B, Special Mission Systems, VHF Nav/Comms, Audio ICS Systems, Autopilot Systems.
- Must be familiar with FAR 91.411 and 91.413 testing/recertification
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Two-year degree in aviation discipline desired
- Must be dependable and work assigned shifts.
- Must pass a DOT/FAA Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
- Must clear a 10-year background check with no felonies or adverse criminal activity.
- Must have own tools, etched in a shadowed box
- Must have current and valid driver's license.
- Employee must be a US citizen and not hold dual citizenship with another country
