Electronic Bench Technician-Aircraft Avionics

Position Summary:
We are hiring experienced technicians to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair on aerospace-grade inertial navigation components. This role is ideal for former military avionics techs or civilian aerospace specialists with bench-level electronics experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and fault isolation on inertial navigation assemblies
- Identify failure mechanisms and recommend appropriate repair actions
- Use precision test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and voltmeters
- Perform adjustments and calibrations to electronic units and subassemblies
- Interpret test specifications, schematics, and technical drawings
- Prepare accurate and clear technical test reports
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of electronic principles and avionics components
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical schematics and layout drawings
- Hands-on experience with test equipment used in troubleshooting and calibration
- Ability to follow technical procedures and complete documentation accurately
- Proficiency in English—especially in technical reporting
- Basic PC software knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) preferred
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in avionics, electronics, or a related aviation maintenance discipline from a recognized institution
- Equivalent military training (e.g., 2A0X1, 94E, or similar MOS/AFSC) will be considered
- Prior experience with inertial navigation systems is an asset
- Must be eligible to work and live in Canada
- Must be able to pass standard 10 year background check with no criminal history
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
